Summary:
The purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of LGESMI Information security and act as a liaison between LGESMI. The role also involves responding to information security incidents, assisting in training employees on proper information security procedures, and helping maintain records and documentation. The position provides an opportunity to learn and grow within the field of information security while supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring safety and compliance with information security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our security systems, as well as the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures
- Conduct information security assessments of facilities, systems, and processes to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
- Develop and implement information security plans, policies, procedures, and programs to protect people, property, information, and assets
- Monitor and investigate information security breaches to determine their root cause and develop corrective action plans
- Manage information security operations for special events, including developing security protocols, coordinating with law enforcement, and overseeing security personnel
- Select and oversee installation, and maintenance of security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems
- Train employees on security procedures, such as proper badge use, handling of sensitive materials procedure
- Required to respond to incidents, including acts of violence; investigate incidents and prepare reports for insurance claims and legal proceedings
- Work with local law enforcement and on site security personnel to resolve security issues
- Keep abreast of new information security technologies and trends
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information security laws and regulations
- Conduct audit the status of Information Security
- Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of Information security
- Attend meetings and work with team members to ensure a information Security
- Maintain reports and documentation
- Stay current on industry best practices for physical security
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
- 1 to 3+ years of relevant work experience in security, law enforcement
- Experience and knowledge of physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection
- Experience in security systems, access control, and surveillance
Skills:
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of security principles, including risk assessment and mitigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
