We operate globally, with a robust presence across diverse markets, and are renowned for our forward-thinking approach and emphasis on sustainable growth. Position OverviewThe primary purpose of this role is to lead the management and strategic optimization of Lean Tech's expansive Meraki network infrastructure across 16,000+ devices and 1,800+ locations. This pivotal position ensures high availability, security, and performance by proactively tackling issues, analyzing network data for trend predictions, and spearheading network upgrades. As a Mid+ member of the IT Operations team, you will be instrumental in transitioning the organization towards a data-driven and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach, leveraging Meraki APIs and Azure Logic Apps. The role is critical in shaping the network management landscape, with responsibilities that include collaborating with global IT teams, driving network innovation, and ensuring compliance with IT policies. Unique challenges include maintaining seamless network operations across diverse locations and leading automation strategies for network management.What You Will Be Doing
  • Oversee strategic planning and execution of network infrastructure projects and initiatives.
  • Lead the management and optimization of Meraki network infrastructure, including security appliances, switches, access points, and cellular gateways.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance by utilizing advanced networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN configurations).
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to IT policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze network data to identify trends, improve performance, and proactively anticipate potential issues through trend analysis, predictive analytics, and dashboarding.
  • Generate and present detailed reports on network health, performance metrics, and incident trends to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure cohesive network operations and security, acting as a primary communicator for network status and incidents across teams and time zones.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Drive ongoing improvements and innovation in network configuration, deployment, and management, playing a key role in transitioning towards a full Infrastructure as Code approach for Meraki network management.
  • Support network-related projects, including rollouts, upgrades, and device replacements.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Meraki networking solutions (MX, MS, MR, MG) to manage a complex network infrastructure across numerous devices and locations.
  • Advanced skills in network troubleshooting and optimization, utilizing data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN configurations.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Azure, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing an enterprise-level tenant.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, along with proficient documentation competencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise-level network administration, specifically focusing on Meraki networking solutions.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management practices, including understanding of Incident, Change, and Critical Event Management.
  • Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automation of network tasks using Azure Logic Apps and Meraki APIs.
  • Experience in evaluating, designing, and implementing automation strategies for network management, including familiarity with Ansible and Terraform.
  • 1 or more of the following certifications preferred: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMSS).
Nice to Have
  • Experience in orchestrating network automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, with a focus on transitioning environments towards full automation.
  • Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform to support future Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives, even though these are not currently in use.
  • Strong proficiency in dashboarding and visualization tools to enhance network performance monitoring and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with advanced data analysis techniques, such as API-based data extraction and predictive analytics, to proactively manage network performance.
  • Additional certifications that demonstrate expertise in advanced network design and security, such as Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are advantageous.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively across global IT teams and integrate insights and requirements into network strategy.
  • Proven ability to lead network projects and initiatives, including strategic planning and execution, to enhance IT infrastructure.

  • Proven leadership in global IT collaboration, crucial for enhancing and aligning network operations and security strategies with international teams.

  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, important for troubleshooting and optimizing complex network scenarios using data-driven approaches.
  • Adaptability to change management, significant for overseeing strategic initiatives and embracing new automation strategies as the organization progresses towards Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
