$77,216.00 - $115,824.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:Develops and implements programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all departments are in compliance with organizational and governmental standards. Maintains compliance with all country-mandated regulatory requirements. Documents legal regulations that might affect the organization's policies and procedures. Maintains the organization's ongoing relationships with regulatory commissions/authorities. Coordinates and conducts the assessment of internal controls to ensure compliance as required by regulatory commissions/authorities. Develops programs and processes to manage complaint cases brought to regulatory authorities and develops process improvements to avoid future complaints. Advances organization positions with internal and external parties. Prepares and sponsors testimony to governmental or regulatory agencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Audits records, documentation, and processes to ensure compliance with guidelines. Performs audits in accordance with procedures. Produces timely, concise, and well written reports regarding auditing activities. Researches compliance requirements for assigned areas. Leads and/or participates in compliance and privacy committees and leads subgroups as assigned. Leads or assists in external audits, investigations, special projects, and due diligence activities as assigned.
- Provides proactive consultation and guidance to assigned groups/processes. Assists leaders in developing the strategic direction of programs. Assists in the development of compliance education and training materials. Provides education and training to assigned groups/stakeholders. Leads the development of action plans as needed. Facilitates and tracks implementation of action plans. Maintains current knowledge of integrity, compliance, privacy, and confidentiality issues through professional reading and participation in educational offerings.
- Manages the day-to-day operation of programs in accordance with federal and state requirements and best practices. Manages HR needs of assigned staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, ongoing supervision, personnel issues, policies, form completion, and performance reviews. Develops ongoing collaborative partnerships with assigned Programs, Departments, functions, and stakeholders, including the management team. Leads by example by communicating and modeling the goals the compliance program.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience required
- Master's degree preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of information security risk management frameworks and compliance practices required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills, including written communication required
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills to be used with all levels of management, across multiple departments, and both internally and externally, with an ability to express information security concepts in simplified terms required
- Operate with a high degree of independence with regard to project management activities, including development of project plans, customer meetings and audit sessions required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- State licensure and/or relevant certification as required by the needs of the department upon hire required
