Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$135,700.00 - $223,900.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers is seeking a Customer Identity and Access Management Cybersecurity Director to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape.

We are on a journey to modernize the CIAM landscape and looking for someone who thrives on creativity and collaboration.

We seek a dedicated CIAM Cybersecurity Director to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role you will be responsible for delivering CIAM solutions which improves security and user experience. Plans at a tactical level and manages the effective use of resources to transform business-specifications into cost-effective IT Security solutions. Leads assigned staff to implement and/or maintain a large, complex system or multiple smaller systems and/or assigned project(s). It will include collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure security, availability, and performance of our solutions. You will be the driving force behind our strategy to deliver secure solutions with improved user experience.

What Will You Do?

• Responsible for delivery of CIAM projects in co-ordination with multiple agile teams.
• Understands and has input to the budget process, and shares responsibility for cost-effective expense control of assigned projects.
• Manages team with responsibilities to support and maintain complex security processes, controls or products within CIAM space.
• Manages team with responsibilities to plan, analyze, configure, test, document and implement new or upgrades to complex security processes, controls or products as directed.
• Oversee operational support and maintenance of Security related processes, controls or products to ensure compliance with CIAM standards while enabling technology and business partners.
• May directly manage the configuration, testing, documentation and implementation of upgrades to security processes, controls or products as directed within CIAM space.
• Propose/evaluate/recommend purchases and/or licensed software products to identify and address security exposures.
• Participate/lead Security and enterprise projects as assigned.
• Participate/lead in strategic planning/roadmap creation for team.
• Represents team and/or Cybersecurity area at design and new technology meetings.
• Provides human resources management, including coaching, performance management, team development and growth, and workforce planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Eight years of relevant experience with Cybersecurity practices, processes, and Cybersecurity event investigation/resolution preferred.
• Three years of experience as a technical lead preferred.
• Prior experience managing others preferred.
• Broad knowledge of all IT related technologies with subject matter expertise in CIAM along with IT Security related technology and business exposures impacting organizational vitality preferred.

• Develops operational plans and provides resource estimation for task planning.
• Proposes plans of action that are timely, realistic, and positive.
• Sets appropriate goals for projects and monitors progress against the plan.
• Delegates to maximize organizational effectiveness.

What is a Must Have?

• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in education and/or work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems Cybersecurity or a related STEM field.
• Five years of experience in Computer Science or a related field required.
• One year of experience as a technical lead required.
