Job Responsibilities :

Associate cybersecurity specialist is responsible for protecting an organization's computer systems and networks from cyber threats. This role involves developing and implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring Networks: Keep an eye on computer networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and document security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Security Measures: Install and use software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information.
  • Vulnerability Testing: Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development of information security policies and procedures.
  • Training: Help train staff on information security procedures and practices.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside senior analysts to implement and upgrade security measures and controls.
  • Cloud Security: Implement and manage security measures for cloud environments, with a preference for AWS.
  • Cloud Monitoring: Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and vulnerabilities.


Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or similar.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption techniques, and cloud security best practices.
  • Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate security threats.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills to effectively report findings and recommendations to management.
