Key responsibilities

Together with the security teams, you will support the CSO in driving its mission. You therefore have a transversal role and will help communicate and support the rest of the organization to be successful. Some of those challenges include:

  • Identifying, developing and managing tailored content, including papers and PowerPoints, to articulate the security strategy, key security objectives, project status across all levels in the organization and to external parties.
  • Collaborating with the SAFE program team to further enforce expected security behaviors across the enterprise, ensure communications are meaningful, create excitement and stimulate the right level of vigilance across Swift.
  • Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across GS and IT to formulate in-depth understanding of issues and gather critiques of relevant content.
  • Ability to quickly distill complex technical issues into clear communications tailored across the organization, including executive management, software developers, IT administrators, internal customers, end users and external parties.
  • Ability to think strategically while facilitating interactive action plans using an iterative approach with meticulous version control.
  • Ability to focus on both the present and the future, while creating and maintaining departmental processes, taxonomies, standards, and style guides that reduce training and rework costs.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines for multiple projects running in parallel.
  • Suggesting best practices and optimizations throughout content generation projects.
  • Collaborating with SMEs to develop new approaches for creating more precise and engaging content for the company.
  • Managing complex information and multiple projects within content specifications and budget restrictions.
  • Using company brand voice and messaging for written pieces to reinforce the company culture
  • Ability to QA multiple content for errors, accuracy and tone.
  • Creating technical documents that convey accurate messaging for the different GS projects, while implementing feedback, and changes as required to meet timeline.

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing with strong relevant work experience in governance reporting (Exco, board, oversight), IT/cyber security field and/or risk management.
  • Experience in regulatory communications, project management and development environments.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments, especially in the financial services industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience in developing different content to support successful projects including but not limited to Executive Communications (e.g., papers, powerpoints, etc), Security Documentation, Policies, Plans and Standards, etc.

Education

University degree in communications, computer science, or equivalent

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $92,120.00 to $171,080.00 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance.
