POSITION TITLE:   Director, Information Security

Position Summary:

Director – Information Security (Equivalent to Deputy CISO)

This position, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, is responsible to liase with internal and external stakeholders, regulators, auditors and industry experts on matters related to information security and contribute to the department’s strategy roadmap. The role would also be responsible to drive cyber crisis management, external audits and assessments, and vendor assessments. 

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Examples below:

  • Responsible for participating in regulatory examinations, audits, assessments to provide a differentiated perspective of information security posture at Onity. 
  • Responsible to interact with the industry experts to understand cyber security trends and contribute to the information security strategy formulation based on the trends. 
  • Responsible to drive cyber crisis / incident management, particularly in the US working hours, including interactions with law enforcement and regulatory bodies. 
  • Responsible to participate in vendor assessments on cyber security, especially when it is needed to perform assessments in person. 

Key Result Areas: 

  • Performance in external examinations, audits, assessments
  • Number of Industry expert interactions, participation and number of ideas submitted to information security strategy
  • Performance in cyber crisis / incident management 
  • Performance in external vendor assessments / interactions

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

  • Minimum education required
    • Four year degree from an accredited University or High School Diploma, GED or Military equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related fields.
  • Minimum years of experience required – 20 years experience as Cyber Security Consultant / Practioner 
  • Required certifications – One or more of the following - CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, GIAC Certifications
  • Specific skill or ability needed – Excellent communication Skills
  • Minimum software or applications experience required/preferred
    • Preferable to have hands on experience in cyber security
  • Any other requirements an ideal applicant needs to have that is not covered by above – Cyber Crisis Management, Offensive Security

 

Training / Licensing Requirements: 

  • Must pass the Company’s Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
  • (Ex. or Currently possesses NMLS and MLO licensing in resident state where licenses are required or ability to obtain licensing)

Work Schedule: (Only add if needed)

  • General work schedule (for shift roles) – USA EST working hours.

The salary range for this position is expected to be $150,000-$195,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to terms of the company's applicable plans.
