The Opportunity
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Sr. Manager, Identity and Access Management (IDAM). In this role, you will lead a team of personnel who manage IDAM within Valvoline’s Information Technology environment. This role is responsible for the implementation and direction of Identity and Access Management for the Valvoline Organization.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Define the strategy and direction of the Identity and Access Management program and services, including tools, processes, controls, and the integration of resources into Valvoline's Information Technology environment.
- Management of IDAM human resources: assign tasks, coach and evaluate performance, and manage staff productivity.
- Collaborate with business partners, vendors, and IT resources on Identity and Access Management governance that aligns with business objectives.
- Assess the current state of controls, capabilities, and effectiveness of IDAM tools and processes to develop roadmaps for technical and procedural improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve higher-level issues related to access of Valvoline’s Information Technology resources.
- Manage vendor relationships of Identity and Access Management tools and applications.
- Coordinate reporting and responses required by audits and compliance reviews, and document exceptions as necessary.
- Prepare and deliver status updates and activity metrics to IT Senior Management for use in strategic planning and assessments.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, business, management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in identity and access management (IAM), with at least 4 years in a leadership role
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), or similar are highly desirable
- Knowledge of operating systems and security applications as well as a working knowledge of a variety of Identity and Access Management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to enable effective security incident and problem resolution
- Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles
- Proven expertise in IAM technologies and protocols, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Privileged Endpoint Management (PEM), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) using technologies like Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, or similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IAM strategies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in recruiting, mentoring, and developing IAM professionals
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and advancements in IAM technologies and methodologies
- Comfortable leading and participating in cross-enterprise initiatives
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
