Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 33 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Data Security Analyst Intern  to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

Performs (journey-level) information security analysis work. Work involves participating in planning and implementing, as well as assisting in monitoring security measures for information systems and infrastructure to regulate access to computer configuration and data files and to prevent unauthorized use, modification, destruction, or disclosure of information. Works under supervision of the Information Security Officer (ISO).

 

Functional responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

Assist in all client's infrastructure changes and information security requirements.

Monitor and analyze ERS security infrastructure. To include:

  • Symantec DLP
  • Carbon Black
  • McAfee ePO
  • Tenable
  • Splunk

Assist in the development, maturity, and maintenance of dashboards within Splunk to better inform IS management and Information Security Team.

Assist in the maintenance and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training solution.

Assist in performing and analysis of vulnerability assessments as well as the remediation of issues discovered in client's vulnerability scans and penetration tests.

Reviews documentation for readability and understanding

Logs in and remains on agency Jabber during work hours.

Attends remote meetings with camera on unless prior arranged for camera off.

Coordinates leave and vacation with client's lead.

Must dress appropriately for a business/business casual environment.

Communicates respectfully and works harmoniously with all co-workers, customers and vendors.

Provides exceptional customer service.

Is flexible; able to work under pressure and able to adapt to change; and able to work on multiple problems and tasks.
