About the Role
As a Cyber Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing business needs, gathering technical and functional requirements, and supporting cyber security initiatives. Working closely with cyber security, IT, and business stakeholders, you will ensure security solutions are effectively implemented to enhance threat detection, data protection, cyber security architecture, and identity governance.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to translate business needs into cyber security requirements. You will be instrumental in aligning security strategies with operational goals, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and contributing to Anglicare’s cyber uplift program.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Frameworks: Develop and implement cohesive frameworks to achieve strategic goals.
Requirements Gathering & Validation: Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and refine business and technical requirements for cyber security projects.
Cyber security Initiative Support: Contribute to projects focused on threat detection, data protection, security architecture, and identity governance.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cyber security, IT, and business teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in analysing security-related data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
Change Management & Communication: Support the implementation of cyber security changes, ensuring clear communication across teams.
Testing & Validation: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure cyber security solutions meet business requirements through rigorous testing.
About You
You are a business-savvy analyst with a passion for cyber security and risk management. Your ability to analyse data, engage stakeholders, and bridge business and technical requirements will be essential in this role.
Cyber security & Risk Knowledge: Familiarity with cyber security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and document complex business processes to support security initiatives.
Technical & Business Alignment: Skilled in translating business requirements into cyber security solutions.
Stakeholder Management: Effective communication and collaboration skills across IT, security, and business teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in business analysis, cyber security, or IT project support.
Experience working with cyber security frameworks and compliance standards.
Familiarity with SASE, threat hunting, data protection, Identity & Governance Administration (IGA), or cyber security architecture is a plus.
Strong experience in documenting business processes and functional requirements.
Certifications such as CISM or equivalent are desirable.
Experience in agile or hybrid project environments is beneficial.
