This position is based in our Irvine, CA office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule with a few days remote per week.   

 

Program details:  

 

We offer internships across a variety of departments and locations throughout the U.S., giving you the chance to work at one of our dynamic offices. Our internships are hybrid, blending hands-on, in-office experience with the flexibility of remote work. Expect to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Important dates:  

 

• March: Applications Open (some postings may close early due to applicant volume)  

• March – April: Recruiters and hiring managers will review applications and reach out to candidates on a rolling basis. Timing of outreach for each internship position may vary, and some interviews might start sooner than others, but candidates can expect to hear by the end of April if selected for an interview. 

• May: All interviews to be completed and offers to be made 

• June 2nd – August 8th: First cohort start & end date 

• June 16th – August 22nd: Second cohort start & end date 

 

Department summary: 

 

This role will support the Information Security (InfoSec) department, specifically within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) sector, which focuses on ensuring adherence to rules and regulations. The GRC team is responsible for identifying and monitoring relevant IT risks, designing, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures, and providing guidance to stakeholders and control owners on internal controls to mitigate risks and maintain compliance. 

 

Your role: 

 

• Assist in the development and implementation of IT risk management programs.  

• Ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (such as SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS standards) 

• Collaborate on the creation and implementation of IT policies and standard operating procedures.  

• Participate in audits of existing compliance programs 

• Assist with other Compliance projects  

 

What you bring to the role: 

• Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program. 

• Strong communication skills  

• Proficiency in  Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

•  Ability to analyze and interpret data, reports, and policies 

• Basic knowledge of risk assessments, internal controls, and audit processes 

• Familiarity with IT security principles, regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, ISO 27001, NIST) 

• Ability to collaborate across various functions and levels within the organization  

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously 

• Prior knowledge in compliance, audit, or risk management is preferred 

 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $42,300.00 - $63,500.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
