As part of the Platform Core Services team, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and reliable services, including authentication & authorization (AuthN/AuthZ), onboarding, RBAC, reporting, auditing, notifications, and platform APIs. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to grow their expertise in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence while working in a high-impact, cross-functional environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and Maintain Core Services – Implement and enhance high-quality, scalable microservices that support platform-wide capabilities, ensuring modularity and extensibility.
  • Collaborate on System Design & Implementation – Work with senior engineers and product managers to translate requirements into well-structured, maintainable, and testable software solutions.
  • Enhance System Reliability & Observability – Contribute to logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using Datadog to ensure visibility and proactive issue resolution.
  • Infrastructure as Code & Cloud Automation – Assist in automating cloud infrastructure management using Terraform, Terragrunt, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve Engineering Efficiency – Participate in code reviews, advocate for engineering best practices, and contribute to documentation to ensure team-wide knowledge sharing.
  • Support Operational Excellence – Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues, participate in incident response, and propose solutions for long-term stability and scalability.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration – Work with product managers, designers, and engineers from other teams to deliver features and platform enhancements that meet business and customer needs.

What You’ll Bring

  • Software Development Experience – experience in software development and delivering cloud-based or distributed systems with an emphasis on scalability and security.
  • Proficiency in Modern Programming Languages – Experience with one or more of C#, Go, Java, Python, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of Cloud & Infrastructure – Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, including cloud-native development principles.
  • Infrastructure as Code & DevOps Practices – Basic knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD), and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Operational Awareness – Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) and how they support system health.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to debug, analyze issues, and propose well-structured solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Comfortable working with other engineers, product teams, and stakeholders in a cross-functional, agile environment.

Nice To Have

  • Experience contributing to platform, core, or shared services teams.
  • Exposure to authentication & authorization (AuthN/AuthZ), onboarding, RBAC, or security-related platforms.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical systems with a focus on fault tolerance and scalability.

Who You Are

  • A proactive problem solver who enjoys taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through completion.
  • A team player who values open collaboration and constructive feedback.
  • Someone who continuously learns and adapts, eager to expand their technical expertise.
  • Detail-oriented and mindful of trade-offs between short-term solutions and long-term maintainability.
  • Passionate about delivering quality software that is secure, scalable, and meets customer needs.
