Responsibilities

The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) is the primary resource for information system and cybersecurity matters.

  • Provides technical, programmatic, and Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) support.
  • Ensures the up-to-date development and implementation of information security policy, requirements, and procedures within an organization’s business processes.
  • Reviews documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as Risk Management Framework.  
  • Implements customer security requirements within an organization’s business processes ensuring the applications are ready for the A&A process.
  • Authoring to develop A&A documentation to support team’s technical solutions.
  • Develops and completes system security plans and contingency plans.
  • May recommend system enhancements to improve cybersecurity posture.
  • Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required
  • BA/BS and 8+ years of experience; Masters and 6+ years of experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Candidate shall demonstrate strong experience with customer's Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
  • Candidate will have accreditation tool experience.
  • Candidate demonstrates strong understanding of Customer Cyber Security Policies. 
  • Candidate demonstrates strong communication skills. 
  • Candidate demonstrates experience working with and across teams and handling multiple projects at once. 
  • Candidate demonstrates understanding of strong security practices and working with Security Officers.
  • Candidate should have professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CASP, CISA, Security+)

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
