WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Cloud Security Implementation

o   Design, implement, and maintain secure architectures in Azure and AWS environments.

o   Leverage Terraform to automate security configurations and infrastructure deployment.

o   Continuously monitor and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud environments.

• Data Project Security

o   Develop and enforce security best practices for data-centric projects.

o   Protect sensitive data at rest, in transit, and in processing, aligning with compliance standards.

• IT Assessments & NIST Compliance

o   Build, execute, and document IT security assessments following the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

o   Identify risks, provide mitigation strategies, and ensure ongoing compliance.

o   Report findings to stakeholders with actionable recommendations.

• Self-Driven Problem Solving

o   Operate autonomously to identify potential security risks and propose innovative solutions.

o   Take ownership of tasks, ensuring timely delivery with minimal oversight.

• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

o   Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, data engineers, and IT stakeholders.

o   Provide training and guidance on security practices within the team.

 

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

• Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) in secure deployments.

• Strong knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) in cloud environments.

• Familiarity with security tools and technologies for cloud platforms

• Understanding of encryption standards, key management, and data protection techniques.

• Hands-on experience with IT assessments and audits, particularly following the NIST CSF

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
