The role:

We are seeking an experienced Staff Workday Security Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of managing, configuring, and ensuring the security of the Workday application, including user access, roles, and data protection. This role requires expertise in Workday security configuration, data privacy regulations, and maintaining best practices related to access controls and role-based security.

What you’ll do: 

  • Provide expert-level support for Workday Financials, Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence through configuration of security roles, proxy policy, segmented security and security policies
  • Stay updated on the Workday roadmap and propose changes and solutions in areas of focus
  • Review and audit security roles to ensure compliance with internal security policies and procedures.
  • Provide security standards for platform agnostic 
  • Design and implement Workday’s security architecture, including User-Based, Role-Based and Domain security
  • Manage and audit user access across all Workday domains and security groups
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize user experience
  • Create and optimize calculated fields and custom reports within Workday to support business requirements.
  • Work with integration teams to configure and review security for inbound and outbound integrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security-related incidents in a timely manner

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 6+ years experience working in Workday working in Security lead role
  • Extensive experience in configuring Workday security, including security groups, business process security, and role-based security polices
  • Experience in SOC1 review and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Workday modules such as Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, and Finance is a plus
  • Experience with Workday’s Security Audit and Security report tools
  • Experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields
  • Experience in compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA).
  • Able to provide security standards beyond workday platform
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to have:

  • Workday Security certification
  • Workday Admin certification
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or similar certification
