This job will be based in Tampa, FL and will be hybrid (3 days per week in office).
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our MDR (Managed Detection and Response) platform development. This role will be instrumental in advancing technical initiatives in AI/ML driven detection enhancements, hyperautomation platform effectiveness, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will possess both technical acumen and strategic leadership abilities. They will lead a team of talented engineers to deliver differentiated automated threat detection, correlation and enrichment services to our customers.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Lead the engineering vision and development of our MDR platform
- Shape the future of AI/ML based security systems and defensive detection capabilities
- Oversee the development and deployment of Security hyperautomation systems for our global SOC operations
- Architect the design of large-scale data platforms to process and analyze massive volumes of security telemetry
- Drive the technical vision for our cloud based MDR platform and service capabilities
- Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams focused on security and data engineering innovation
- Institute best practices for collaboration and knowledge sharing with other engineering teams
- Be a customer advocate and foster a culture of customer delight
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with business objectives
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- 15+ years of engineering experience, in a cybersecurity domain with 5+ years in leadership roles managing global teams
- Deep expertise in machine learning and modern security automation frameworks
- Proficiency in cloud-native architectures, data engineering and distributed systems
- Experience with boot strapping small teams to deliver complex technical projects
- Track record of driving innovation and technical excellence in a startup environment
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
The anticipated salary range for this role is $210,000 to $250,000 + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
