Position Overview: The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide security measures to protect our infrastructure, data, and applications. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems while defending against evolving cyber threats.
Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Security Operations & Cyber Defense Senior Manager, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
Security Operations and Strategy:
• Design and implement comprehensive security measures to protect enterprise systems, networks, and data across our global infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security architecture that aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Lead security incident investigations, including root cause analysis, containment strategies, and remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and enhance security operations, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Technical Implementation and Management:
• Deploy and optimize enterprise-wide endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, with primary focus on Trend Micro, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender or equivalent platforms.
• Configure and maintain SIEM systems for effective threat detection and response.
• Conduct and oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation efforts.
• Create and track security metrics, KPIs, and KRIs to measure operational effectiveness.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management on security performance and strategic initiatives.
Threat Management and Intelligence:
• Integrate threat intelligence feeds into security operations.
• Implement proactive detection measures based on emerging threat landscapes.
• Coordinate with external vendors and security partners for incident response and threat mitigation.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and evolving security technologies.
 
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cyber and information security.
• Demonstrated expertise with SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and security tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with automotive or manufacturing industry security preferred, but not required.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in endpoint security management and EDR platforms
• Experience with SIEM implementation and management
• Strong background in network security and infrastructure protection
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or equivalent)
• Relevant certificates (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISM) are preferred, but not required.
Professional Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellence in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated project management and prioritization skills.
• Strong ethical framework and commitment to data privacy.
