OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and HR Controls Analyst. This individual contributor role will focus on designing, maintaining controls for HR operations. The role will focus on identifying and mitigating control gaps associated with operations across HR and identify opportunities for improvement. They will work with various stakeholders to evaluate whether controls are well designed and operating effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Control Design & Documentation:
Analyze and document existing IT controls across Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Financials, Procurement) and other key systems.
Evaluate the design effectiveness of controls, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
Maintain and update control documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Data Integrity & Security:
Assess data integrity and security risks associated with Workday and other systems.
Perform data analysis and reconciliations to identify and investigate anomalies.
Monitor system access controls, user authorizations, and data encryption to mitigate security threats.
SOX & GDPR Compliance:
Assist in the design and implementation of controls to ensure compliance with SOX and GDPR requirements.
Conduct SOX and GDPR control assessments and testing procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in IT controls and processes.
Develop and implement recommendations for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in IT auditing and control.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with IT, Finance, HR, and other business units to understand business processes and identify control risks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
Project Management:
Prepare clear and concise audit reports that communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
Prepare and maintain documentation to support SOX and GDPR compliance.
TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in IT auditing, with a strong focus on ERP systems (Workday experience preferred).
Strong understanding of IT general controls (ITGCs) and application controls.
Experience with SOX and GDPR compliance requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CIA) are a plus.
