We are seeking an Architect to partner with our Security, Enterprise Technology and Workforce Identity (SETI) function. The teams in SETI are responsible for making sure that our employees have the best possible technology experience and to make sure that our products are worthy of the trust of our consumers, customers, investors and staff. Given how heavily our employees rely on technology to get their jobs done, we are hugely important to the culture and outcomes of REA Group.
As the Architect for the SETI group, you will help design and set our technological roadmap, ensuring our architecture aligns with our business goals and supports our growth. You will also be a part of our cross-functional architecture group which drives our overarching technology vision for the business. As a senior individual contributor, you will need to balance technical expertise, strategic thinking, design skills and influence to drive innovation and excellence in our product and service offerings.
What the role is all about
Define and lead the implementation of business-aligned architectural strategies for our:
Workforce identity
Enterprise network
Security
Employee-facing technology platforms
Ensure that our technology delights our staff and manages the friction often associated with security
Collaborate with other members of the architecture group to shape the technological vision of the company and integrate this vision into the broader business strategy
Deeply understand the needs of our different user personas across the company and design controls and frameworks that meet the needs of these users
Collaborate with team members from Security, Enterprise Technology and Workforce Identity to capture their requirements and to influence their decision making
Ensure the architectural integrity and scalability of our security systems and staff-facing platforms
Guide the selection of technologies and the design of solutions that are secure, robust, and scalable
Drive the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to maintain competitive advantage
Who we’re looking for
Deep understanding of:
Enterprise technologies (including staff collaboration tools, business applications, audio-visual and messaging technologies and networking technologies)
Security technology and controls, ideally in a cloud-native, technology product context (including endpoint security, cloud-security posture management, detection and response automation, GRC automation)
Workforce identity and access management technologies (including Access Management, User Access Reviews, Privileged Access Management, Automated provisioning and deprovisioning)
Cloud technologies
Software architecture patterns
Extensive experience (Ideally 10+ years) in related roles, including 3+ years in a similar role. Experience in a marketplace and/or digital pure play company with a proven track record of leading large-scale architectural projects considered a plus.
Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD & FinOps practices.
Experience with evaluating different vendor technologies, and with considering build vs. buy decisions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Forward-thinking and innovative, with a passion for staying ahead of technology trends and leveraging them to drive business success
