Incident Response Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Leads major cyber investigations, oversees and ensures the quality of cyber incident response activities, and manages incident response efforts across the network. Collects and analyzes network and host artifacts from multiple sources, including logs, system images, and packet captures, to identify malicious activity, determine root cause, assess operational impact, and facilitate rapid remediation of cyber threats. Conducts cyber incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and impact, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending effective mitigation strategies. Provides expert technical support and performs real-time cyber defense incident handling tasks to support subordinate organizations and system owners. Manages and documents cyber defense incidents from initial detection through resolution. Demonstrates effectiveness by investigating and responding to Red Team activity. Updates incident response tactics, techniques, procedures, training, and educational materials. Develops and delivers courses on specific cyber defense methodologies at least four times per calendar year. Supports accreditation maintenance by providing documentation and technical writing assistance, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with DCO tools, tactics, and techniques in a large enterprise environment
• 5+ years of experience investigating cyber incidents
• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Defensive Cyberspace Operations, Incident Response, or Information Technology
• Experience handling national state level intrusions
• Ability to work on-call after hours and weekends approximately once every four weeks
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science
• CSSP Incident Responder certification
• IAT Level III certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
