Security Administrator

The Job
The Security Specialist is responsible for assisting in implementing and administrating policies, procedures, and regulations affecting physical security operations. Under the direction of the security director, the coordinator helps with reporting and compliance standards and assists with physical security surveys and risk analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement security processes.
- Communication policy and procedure to Core and security services personnel.
- Oversee the development of training to be delivered to security services personnel.
- Conducts periodic audits to assess compliance with security procedures and policies.
- Draft procedures and work instructions supporting Core security programs.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Submits recommendations for improvements and developments to the security program.
- Conduct incident investigations and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Works with Core and security services personnel to implement and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Assists in emergency management scenarios.
- Facilitates Core security policies while providing excellent customer service.
- Coordinates security protocols with other departments, enabling smooth workflows.
- Coach security services supervisors in the implementation of policy.
- Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team, with co-workers/ teammates, and leaders across the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study is required
- 2 years of experience required
- Previous supervisory experience in security operations
- Experience with technical writing is required (written security programs, management system documents, etc.)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work across multiple sites in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Occasional travel is required as needed.
Work Environment
This job is operated in a professional office, warehouse, and data center environments. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts. While performing duties on location, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, onsite position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. some nights and weekends may be required.
