Key Responsibilities:
• Support security audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirement assessments.
• Help implement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks and standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, NYDFS,  etc.).
• Assist in conducting third-party vendor risk assessment activities
• Analyze cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.
• Support client due diligence assessments and audits. 
• Research and document security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Participate in security awareness training initiatives.
• Work with various security tools for governance, compliance, and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security projects.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous internship or relevant work experience in cybersecurity, IT governance, or risk management.
• Exposure to Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) projects, labs, or simulations.
• Participation in cybersecurity clubs, associations, competitions, or teams (e.g., Cybersecurity Club, Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, ISACA, ISC², etc.).
• Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISA, CISSP (Associate), CRISC, CEH, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
