The Secure Admin Services team is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer ll. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Architects and SAS Organizations: Gather requirements for OEMs, test laptop models, and ensure they meet SAS/SAW standards.
  • Device Testing and Automation: Lead testing and automating processes for SAS/SAW compliance and security.
  • Software Development and Management: Develop, Automate, manage, and update software for SAS services.
  • Incident Response and Management: Lead incident responses, perform root-cause analysis, and implement post-incident improvements.
  • Own, triage, and resolve production issues with a focus on communication, learning, and sharing.
  • Reliability Management: Drive reliability and performance across services by proactively monitoring, alerting, and automating processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build tools and processes that reinforce reliability.
  • Security Awareness: Implement security measures and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams to standardize laptops and ensure smooth operations.
  • Performance Review and Improvement: Review system/service performance, identify improvement areas, and enhance user experience.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Upholding Organizational Culture and Values: Promote and uphold organizational culture and values, exercising cross-team cooperation and influence.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years  technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python 
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of expertise in Automation, System Administration, IAM, Networking - implementation and troubleshooting.

  • 1+ years of experience with Automation and Development.

  • 1+ years of Incident Management and customer Relationship management.

     

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 
    • Microsot Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
    • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in technical architecture, consulting, automation design, and implementation.
  • Skilled in automation engineering, process automation, and technical certification/testing.
  • Proficient in software engineering, device testing, network engineering, and systems administration. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript). Experience with APIs and third-party system integration.
  • Proficiency in testing, automating processes, and managing software updates.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for laptop hardware, penetration testing, and security protocols.
  • Experience in cyber security and risk awareness.
  • Awareness and implementation of security measures in testing and deployment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Device, network and cloud issues.
  • Understanding of OS concepts, imaging, virtualization, and certificate services.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with OEM relationships, SKU selection, pricing, and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in testing, automating processes, and managing software updates.
  • Ability to work with vendors for service delivery and software updates.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
