Job Summary

NetApp provides intelligent data infrastructure technology with product offerings in unified data storage, intelligent services, storage solutions, and Cloud management (AWS, GCP, Azure, hybrid). NetApp Global Security is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Offensive Security Program as an intern. This internship offers entry-level, hands-on experience in protecting the NetApp enterprise, customers, and partners. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside experienced cyber security analysts, learning best practices for cyber defense, security assessments, and attack surface management.
  • Assist the program with development of offensive security methodologies, tailored to meet the unique needs of NetApp and the evolving threat landscape. 
  • Gain exposure and experience with industry-standard tools and frameworks for offensive security, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management. 
  • Participate in security assessments and stay up-to-date on current attack vectors, cyber attacks, artificial intelligence (AI), and cyber defense concepts.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • A basic understanding of cyber security concepts, cyber security frameworks, hacking tactics and techniques. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with general guidance. 
  • A continuous learner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills for collaboration and presentations. 
     

Education & Experience

  • Must be enrolled in an educational or professional program through summer 2025 or later.
  • Cyber security certifications from CompTIA, AWS, SANS, Microsoft, Cisco, etc. is preferred.
  • Experience with programming languages, scripting, APIs, etc. is preferred.
