Overview:

Job Title:  Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, California. The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for the direction, administration, and compliance of the Cybersecurity posture for supported 61st CS systems. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuous security, operational availability, and reliability of IT systems and equipment supporting the LAAFB mission.
  • Work alongside Government Cybersecurity personnel as part of the Base Cybersecurity Office and be responsible for the following primary functions:
  • Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
  • Negligent Discharge of Classified Information (NDCI) Coordination
  • Account Lock/Unlock, working with the 561 Network Operations Squadron (NOS), 83 NOS and 690 NSS
  • MTO Compliance Tracking and Reporting
  • Commanders Support Staff (CSS) Representative Training
  • Vulnerability Management Tracking and Reporting
  • Change Management (Boundary Modifications/Change Requests)
  • Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM)
  • Cyber Workforce Improvement Program (CWIP) Certification Tracking and Reporting
  • CIPS Requests – Software vulnerability and compatibility evaluation. Updating and maintaining local approved software lists.
  • New Project/Technology Evaluation and Advisement
  • Malicious/Suspicious Email Analysis
  • Cybersecurity Newsletter and SharePoint site development
  • Inspection preparation (i.e. Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI))
  • Track Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) and Periods of Non-Disruption (PONDs) 
  • Submit and respond to tickets applicable to Cybersecurity.
  • Proactively deliver all applicable Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls, System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and related RMF artifacts in order to maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) for the LAAFB NIPRNet and SIPRNet enclaves
  • Other duties as required.

Work is performed full-time on site in Los Angeles, CA.

 

In compliance with California's Pay Transparency requirements, the following information is being disclosed. If the position applied to is not located in California, the following information may not apply. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Trace salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, Trace provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, flexible spending accounts, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, company holidays and paid time off (PTO).

 

Salary Minimum:   $50,000

Salary Maximum:  $73,700

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An active, in-scope US Government issued Current Top Secret clearance

  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • CGRC/CAP or CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC or equivalent or higher level certifications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in certifying and accrediting Air Force information systems and networks 
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with Cybersecurity requirements as defined by Public Laws, National, DoD, and DAF guidance, e.g., FISMA, DoDD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2, DoDI 8510.01 RMF for DoD IT, DODINST 8570/01M, NIST Special Publications Series 800, etc.

Education:

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement for this WRC or 6 years relevant experience.
