Responsibilities
The Information Security Engineer - Operations will be a key member of the Fast Hosting Services Team and will play an essential role in the monitoring, designing, and implementation of the vulnerability management programs to support FAST Enterprises’ Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring years of experience working in an IT organization that prioritizes threat and vulnerability management with strong cross team collaboration. A strong candidate will also be familiar with change management, compliance, reporting, and logging tools essential for securing the systems infrastructure. Working with the infrastructure team and stakeholders to ensure that our systems are prioritizing security, being proactive and following policy and procedures to remediate findings.
To be effective the candidate will also have a strong basis of knowledge in multiple areas of IT. A diverse IT skill set along with a desire to learn new skills is desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
As part of the onboarding process, this position will work with other teams for a minimum of several weeks to better understand how their role fits in with the larger picture of the hosting team. This position is fully in-office based in Centennial, CO as part of FAST’s Hosting Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Escalation of vulnerability findings and information to relevant teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external vulnerability scans
- Respond to vulnerability findings, questions, and gather supporting evidence
- Stay current on relevant security breaches, threats and vectors of attack
- Assist in implementing solutions or processes via our internal change management plan
- Maintain and update vulnerability management documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one previous position focused on security vulnerability management
- 2-4 years in the information technology security field
- Experience configuring, running, and reviewing vulnerability and compliance scans using Tenable Security Center, Amazon Inspector or comparable vulnerability management tools
- Able to manage multiple different vulnerability tools and activities at one time
- Team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to review, update, and create technical documentation
- Organized and detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
Desired:
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure native tools relating to vulnerability management
- Relevant Certifications such as CISSP or AWS Certified Security - Specialty
- Experience with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) tools
