The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable USAF to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a seasoned network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the USAF needs. 

As a Cyber Transport Network Engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in network management to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll perform, coordinate, integrate, and supervise network design and configuration and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.  

You’ll apply your expertise in network design, configuration, operation, and defense as you guide our team of problem-solvers to manage a DoD Enterprise Cloud Capability. 

Your knowledge of all aspects of deployment, sustainment, and troubleshooting will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in routing, switching, EBGP, IBGP, and HAIPE crypto equipment, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have: 

• 6+ years of experience in all aspects of deployment, sustainment, troubleshooting, and repair of standard voice, data, video, or network infrastructure systems

• 6+ years of experience in IP detection systems, firewalls, routing, switching, External Border Gateway Protocol (EBGP), Internal Border Gateway Protocol (IBGP), and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) TACLANE KG cryptographic equipment

• Ability to perform, coordinate, integrate, and supervise network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements on radio frequency wireless, including line of sight, wideband, and ground-based satellite and encryption devices

• Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with DCS or ZT principles

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
