What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $99,000.00 – $139,597.00 annually. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least 1 day a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.
What You’ll Do
The System Administrator Senior will be a member of our Security Platforms team. This diverse group is responsible for handling configuration, operation, and maintenance for the control systems for Denver International Airport’s Closed-Circuit TV, Identity Management System, and Access Control System as well as other regulated and non-regulated systems. The senior systems administrator will be involved in the full lifecycle of our systems from initial planning to final decommissioning when upgrades are performed. The team works daily with various stakeholders at the airport to address any concerns or requirements that arise.
The position will primarily be responsible for:
Plans and coordinates the setup, installation, and configuration of the operating system (including hardware and software), new software releases, and upgrades.
Monitors, tunes, diagnoses, and resolves complex operating system, application, and database problems; monitors network performance to determine future requirements.
Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs complex problems, typically related to system failures, with servers, hardware, operating systems, security, applications, database structures, and data protection.
Analyzes equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement. Recommends changes to improve systems and network performance and determines hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Consults with users to identify existing system problems then evaluates and recommends various software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.

Experience with access control system management and industry best practices (Experience with CCure 9000 preferred.)
Experience with large scale video management systems (Familiarity with Genetec Security Desk preferred.)
Experience with Microsoft SCCM/ECM and Active Directory
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Office productivity applications and Microsoft Teams
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional Information Technology experience installing, maintaining, and/or modifying application software, operating system and/or network operating system software and associated hardware.
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
FBI Background Check
FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Shift Work/Emergency Duties
Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges arise, weather conditions warrant, or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (includes nights, weekends, and holidays).
