Job Description

Visa's Cyber Security team is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer - Sr. Consultant level who will be responsible for design, development, and execution of large-scale Cyber Security initiatives. Extensive Python and web service development experience and team leadership skills are a must. In this position, you are a passionate and talented Cyber security professional with problem-solving abilities and coding/testing/debugging skills who can work in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:

• Develop innovative solutions to protect the Visa brand, networks, assets and products by implementing state-the-art detection, prevention, and response capabilities

• Engage in technical design of solutions based on use cases and business requirements

• Participate in proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs and solutions

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization

• Demonstrate technical mastery and be an inspirational leader and mentor who continuously develops the competencies of him/herself and others

• Reduce time-to-detect and time-to-remediate by driving the automation of applied threat intelligence and sensor enrichment

• Develop and expand API framework to interconnect Security Tools

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
•8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5
years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2
years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
•9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or
more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters,
MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
•9 or more years of relevant work experience in public cloud platforms (AWS,
Azure etc) with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of
experience with a PhD.
•Strong Domain exposure of Cloud Security in multi cloud enterprise
environment: AWS or GCP, or Azure. Expert level certification in 1 or more of
platforms is a must. Multiyear experience, Architecting, designing and
supporting migrating applications to cloud and implementing security controls
in the cloud.
•Knowledge and hands on experience for designing and implementing new
controls based on gap and requirement.
•Ability to independently conduct POC of new technology solutions, provide
architecture and engineering solutions, take ownership of implementation.
•Assist in development of cost and timelines estimates in introduction of new
security controls and projects.
•Expert level Knowledge of Cloud Security Platforms and infrastructure security.
•Hands on usage of CSPM and CNAAP tools and process development to
ensure addressing vulnerabilities in a timely manner. Experience with
continuous compliance in cloud.
•Knowledge and hands on experience with infrastructure as code, terraform,
CICD.
•Knowledge of multiple security domain like Cloud FW, Security Groups, DDOS,
Network Proxy, Cloud SIEM like Sumo logic etc.
•Strong leadership and communication skills.
•Proficiency with Linux (or similar) operating systems, Expert level knowledge
of Python.
•In depth understanding of Internet protocols.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 157,100.00 to 227,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
