Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Cloud Security & InfoSec, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing cloud and IT security support, implementing security measures, and monitoring the overall security of our company. The Security Analyst will work closely with our Information Security and Compliance (ISC)  and IT teams to ensure the protection of our cloud-based systems and data by monitoring for security threats, identifying vulnerabilities, investigating incidents, and implementing security controls under the guidance of senior security professionals. This individual must be an excellent communicator and have strong collaboration skills to ensure that all security policies and procedures are being followed throughout the organization.

This will be a full-time, permanent position working out of the Vancouver office on a hybrid model (3-days per week in the office).

What you'll be doing:

You will be a key contributor within the Trulioo Information Security team reporting to the Director of Cloud Security and InfoSec, assisting our security efforts across our network, products, platform, and organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative, and fast learner.

• Cloud Security Monitoring: Monitor cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for suspicious activity, access anomalies, and potential security breaches using cloud native security tools. 
• Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular scans to identify vulnerabilities in workstations, cloud systems and applications, and assist in prioritizing remediation actions. 
• Incident Response: Assist in investigating security incidents, collecting evidence, and coordinating response activities with relevant stakeholders. 
• Access Control Management: Review user access permissions in cloud environments and ensure adherence to least privilege principles. 
• Security Configuration Review: Verify the proper configuration of workstations, cloud security settings, including firewalls, network segmentation, and data encryption. 
• Log Analysis: Analyze SIEM logs from cloud platforms and security tools to detect potential threats and anomalies. 
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare security reports detailing asset inventory, identified risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation plans. 
• Security Awareness Training Support: Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training materials to employees regarding security best practices.
• Escalation Support: Provide advanced escalation support for complex security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.

You have:

• 1-3 years of experience in information security/analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with network security concepts (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Knowledge of security standards and best practices, including ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to think strategically.

Please view the base salary range for this role below. The range listed is our expected compensation for the role. However, the pay offered may vary depending on a variety of factors including qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Annual Salary$60,000—$85,000 CAD
