Senior Technical Consultant - Zscaler

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Zscaler Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Zscaler cloud security solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), ensuring secure and seamless network connectivity for enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to communicate and execute architecture strategy & approach in clear, concise, and understandable terms to client senior management and other client stakeholders.
• Ability to implement design architecture objectives that align with client demand & business goals.
• Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of Zscaler cloud security solutions (ZIA, ZPA).
• Design and implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) strategies using Zscaler technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Zscaler with SD-WAN, firewalls, and identity providers.
• Define and optimize security policies, SSL inspection, DLP, and threat protection within the Zscaler platform.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend network security enhancements.
• Provide expertise in troubleshooting complex networking and security issues related to Zscaler.
• Assist in cloud migration projects by ensuring secure connectivity to SaaS, IaaS, and on-premises resources.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams and security policies.
• Train and mentor internal teams on Zscaler best practices and security configurations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network security, cloud security, or related fields.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZPA deployments and configurations.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, VPNs, proxy architectures, and identity-based security.
• Experience integrating Zscaler with Azure, AWS, GCP, and enterprise authentication systems.
• Proficiency in traffic forwarding methods (GRE, IPsec, PAC files, ZCC, Z-Tunnel).
• Ability to analyze and resolve Zscaler-related network performance issues.
• Understanding of Zero Trust principles and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, TCPDump, and Zscaler logs.
• Previous consulting experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) or Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA).
• Experience working with SASE and SD-WAN environments.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
