RTX BBN Technologies is looking for an outstanding candidate to start and lead as Software Developer. The work is always challenging and changes from one project to the next. Projects at are generally short in nature, anywhere from 6 to 18 months in length, though some are longer, and consist of small teams requiring close interaction with customers and other team members.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop software and systems across a variety of architectures and operating systems.
- Analyze systems to understand how they work and what happens when they break.
- Develop unique networking protocols and communication schemes.
- Operationalize our code by thoroughly testing, documenting, and integrating with sponsor systems.
- Candidates should expect that they may be required to travel to a BBN, RTX, teammate, or customer site for meetings or other business-related activities.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related major with a minimum 3 years of experience.
- Advanced skills in C programming.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer - Familiar with all, Expert in some
- Programming skills in C++, Rust, Java, or other languages
- Hands on experience with system architecture design, prototyping, and technical project leadership.
- Experience with assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, etc.).
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, etc.).
- OS kernel development experience (e.g., Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android).
- Network programming skills.
- Software/Hardware emulation experience.
- Vulnerability research experience.
- Reverse engineering skills using tools such as IDA/Ghidra/BinaryNinja.
- Capture the Flag (CTF) experience.
- Working knowledge of radio frequency (RF) concepts.
- Authored papers and proposals.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
