PUYALLUP TRIBAL HEALTH AUTHORITY, located in Tacoma Washington is seeking a full time experienced Security Administrator to be responsible for the security of Puyallup Tribal Health Authority’s (PTHA computing systems used for the transmission of voice, data and video ensuring digital Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA); including installing, testing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting systems as it relates to CIA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Administer and operate authentication and identity services, including multi-factor solutions, network access control identity servers, and related authentication and authorization technologies.
- Identity lifecycle management services and automation. Build and maintain scripts and automation that support the information security mission across PTHA.
- Maintain security policies and signatures on cybersecurity systems.
- Maintenance of application-level security controls (e.g. web application firewalls, proxy services, application delivery).
- Cloud deployments security policy enforcement, centralized configuration management, monitoring.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for security solutions, maintaining documentation on them and advising others on their underlying technologies and operation.
- Work with security and IT teams to identify threats and problem areas, using that feedback to further strengthen tools and technologies.
- Report on vulnerability patching status of all technologies and platforms.
- Perform vulnerability patching of security technologies and systems.
- Stay knowledgeable of current and evolving cybersecurity technologies, solutions and products by attending at least 8 hours of appropriate web based continuing education annually.
- Responsible for knowing and understanding the concepts, industry standards, practices and tools relating to cyber security threats.
- Monitor cybersecurity alerts and analytics daily, take appropriate mitigating actions to verified threats, and escalated incidents to Security Engineer as appropriate.
- Perform hardware/software cybersecurity system updates and maintenance quarterly or sooner if needed.
- Provides after-hours maintenance as directed or as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in an IT related field
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in IT systems, firewall, client threat protection agents, inventory and asset management systems, or Microsoft Azure maintenance and support.
- Two (2) years of experience in cyber security policy management and incident response OR equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in IT systems, firewall or Microsoft Azure administration including troubleshooting and support.
- Current professional level certification in one (1) or more of the following areas required: Microsoft Azure or Security, Comp Tia CySA+, or CISSP
