Overview
Apogee Engineering is seeking a full-time Senior Cyber Engineer focusing on SAP programs to work with the AFLCMC Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), OH. This position will serve as the technical expert for multiple specialized Information Protection (IP) and acquisition security programs supporting major DoD and classified/highly sensitive USAF defense acquisition and intelligence programs.
This is a full-time position located on-site at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), in Dayton, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Translate and provide sound Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) requirements to protect weapon systems and networks from known or anticipated risks.
- Review and update Systems Security Engineering (SSE) artifacts, including Program Protection Plan (PPP), Anti-Tamper (AT) plans, and Cybersecurity Strategy.
- Facilitate Systems Security Working Groups (SSWG) to identify and develop protection strategies for Critical Program Information (CPI) and Critical Components (CC).
- Review and propose technical recommendations regarding critical technologies requiring PPP, AT plans, cyber findings, vulnerabilities, and risks.
- Maintain risk management operational relationships with key DoD stakeholders to enable accreditation, airworthiness certification, and milestone decisions.
- Ensure contractual documentation (such as Statements of Work and contract deliverable lists) incorporate cybersecurity requirements and conduct technical. evaluations on vendors' proposals to ensure that cybersecurity requirements are properly addressed.
- Provide expert identification, documentation, and assessment of threats, cyber findings, vulnerabilities, attack scenarios, impacts if exploited, and likely timelines for exploitation.
- Provide stakeholders with on-time deliverables, RMF artifacts, cyber impact assessments, and approaches to meet growing ISR & SOF requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be active Top Secret level clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI Certifications: Security Professional Education Development (SPeD)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Years of Experience: Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience, five (5) of which must be supporting the DoD
Preferred Qualifications:Clearance: Active TS/SCICertifications: Possess DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (such as Security+) or Level III (such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Education: Master's Degree
Years of Experience: Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience, five (5) of which must be supporting the DoD
Additional Experience:
- Possess current and demonstrated background applying SSE, including SCRM and cybersecurity, to Department of Defense weapon system programs
