This is a contingent position based upon contract award.

KBR is seeking a Threat Analyst to join our team in the Northern Virginia area. This is a hire for a full-time client facing position supporting a government agency.  Candidate must have current TS/SCI with poly.  The threat analyst will conduct analysis, utilize digital forensics to identity and counter cyber threats against U.S. federal information systems, infrastructure, and cyber-related interests.

Job Duties:

  • Analyze cyber threats based on knowledge of cybersecurity
  • Identity and mitigate cyber risks, analyze forensic data, and provide actionable intelligence to support defensive cybersecurity operations
  • Analyze and interpret cyber threat intelligence
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities affecting client space
  • Provide detailed reports and briefings on cyber incidents, threat analysis, and investigative findings to senior officials

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A CURRENT and ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Polygraph
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience with federal government or DoD cybersecurity analysis, incident response or digital forensics
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT Engineering
  • Knowledge of advanced persistent threats and cyber threat actors; operating systems and network protocols
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, forensic analysis tools)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and threat impacts to non-technical audiences and stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience briefing information to senior decision-makers and leaders
  • Relevant Security based certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH

Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Additional Compensation: 

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
