The Information Security Analyst position reports to the Director of Information Security and plays a critical role in the enablement of the business information security management system.  The Information Security Analyst works closely with the Director, IT and business stakeholders to develop and implement tactical information security improvements that protects and services business units.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Support and enhance security operations by managing EDR, XDR, SIEM, and other security platforms to strengthen threat detection, protection, and remediation.
  • Perform threat monitoring, threat hunting, and response to security incidents within business systems.
  • Continuously refine incident response processes (IRPs) and improve detection and protection capabilities across security toolsets.
  • Manage and enhance security incident response service standards (MTTD/MTTR) and associated documented processes.
  • Lead cybersecurity awareness programs and manage the security knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize SecOps and incident response capabilities.
  • Respond to and provide consultation on security system exemptions while ensuring secure business operations.
  • Administer and manage security protection systems and firewalls, ensuring they align with organizational security policies.
  • Effectively communicate security risks and recommendations, balancing business needs with security best practices.
  • Maintain an open and collaborative approach to security, considering alternative solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Support and contribute to business and technical projects, ensuring security frameworks and compliance standards are met.
  • Oversee the implementation of new and existing security features and toolsets to enhance overall security posture.
  • Participate in security assessments, gap analysis, and compliance enforcement related to cloud security and enterprise systems.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • 5-8 years’ experience in within Information Security.
  • Experience with identifying, escalating, and responding to security incidents.
  • Strong knowledge of information security toolsets including EDR, EPP, XDR, SIEM, SASE.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and edge device communication systems.
  • Cybersecurity toolset, endpoint, cloud, and/or network certification is an asset.
  • Information Security/Cybersecurity certification is an asset.
  • SSCP, CISSP, and cloud certification is an asset.
