About The Role:

As a Principal Security Engineer at Dsquares, you will be at the forefront of our security initiatives, responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures to protect our cloud-based applications and infrastructures. You will assess current security practices, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Working closely with various teams, you will lead efforts in maintaining compliance with security standards and ensure the highest levels of security across our systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud-based environments.
• Monitor security incidents and respond to potential threats promptly.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures across the organization.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Provide security training and awareness for employees to foster a culture of security.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends and threats to ensure the organization’s defensive strategies are effective.
• Report to upper management on the security posture and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in security engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Experience with encryption, authentication, and security protocols.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
