SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Engineer, Asset and Threat Management optimizes the life cycle of corporate assets and manages threats to ensure safe and reliable delivery to customers. This includes using integrity management and asset management principles to optimize lifecycle asset plans, identify threats, and support threat mitigation strategies through engineering and operational groups across the company.
Position DetailsNon-union - This position is permanent full time.
Develop and maintain plans to optimize lifecycle asset plans that meet internal business demands while complying with relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and review technical and maintenance standards to be applied to new and existing assets.
Provide technical support by applying engineering principles in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of pipeline asset problems.
Plan execution-ready projects for engineering and operational teams, developing conceptual budgets and ensuring clear, concise scoping.
Communicate with stakeholders to ensure they are informed of progress, schedule, outages, and project status.
Manage project budgets and resources, track costs, review and adjust project schedules, and initiate work coordination plans.
Perform risk assessments and apply risk-based decision making to integrity challenges.
Collaborate with the operations team to support existing system assets and to ensure integrity and reliability.
Assist in the development and setting of asset performance standards and provide effective decision-making tools for upper management using real-time key performance indicators.
Other related duties as assigned.
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Petroleum, Environmental, or Materials is preferred, others may also be considered).
Professional Engineering Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
Five (5) years of progressive engineering experience related to Asset Management or Integrity Management in the natural gas industry.
Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.
Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.
An Engineer-in-training (new graduates with pre-grad experience or with 2+ years of experience) may also be considered as a path to advance to a Professional Engineer.
A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
Additional InformationTravel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, is required on occasion.
A Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
