IT Information Security Analyst

SUPERVISOR: Director of Information Technology 

SALARY RANGE: $40,000- $65,000

FLSA: Exempt

ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: 

• Your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, $140.00 Employee plus family. 

** This position is not remote and will be office based.**

JOB SUMMARY:

Under broad direction, you will administer and oversee information security systems and tools required to protect Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s assets. This includes keeping all of the technology within the Tribe secure from cyber-attacks, and ensuring that the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA) of Tribal information is not violated. Additionally, you will help the Tribe comply with industry standard security practices.

DUTIES

· Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems and networks, and provide guidance on achieving and maintaining security standards for those systems.

· Create, develop, maintain, and execute IT security policies, plans, and procedures; implement data network security measures; conduct security incident handling; support COOP/DR plans, and perform certification of networks.

· Review proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks; recommend mitigation or countermeasures, and resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure.

· Develop contingency plans (Disaster Recovery or Business Continuation Plans for information technology systems) to ensure availability and accessibility of network resources.

· Create, develop, maintain, and execute security incident response policies, identify the need for changes based on new security technologies or threats, test and implement new policies and establish measures to ensure awareness and compliance.

· Research and implement measures to achieve compliance with industry standards, such as PCI DSS and HIPPA.

· Design, develop, and manage IT security systems that meet current and future business requirements, and apply and/or extend, enhance, optimize existing architecture.

· Communicate complex technical requirements to nontechnical personnel, prepare and present briefings on complex/controversial issues.

· Ability to attain IT-related certifications as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

· Ability to sit for extended periods of time performing repetitive work at the computer. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Some bending and stretching.
