Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for a systems engineer who likes to work each day with the end customer and ensure mission success. You’ll be responsible for managing all technical aspects of a large contract supporting a real-world mission with global impact. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background across a wide range of technology in hands-on roles, experience managing teams, and experience with government contracting (preferably with the DOD). This is an amazing opportunity to engineer solutions for unique challenges.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of engineers and developers working on the lifecycle development of a defensive cyber operations kit.

Kit Development:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and functionality for the kit, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
    Research new technical concepts and quickly generate ideas on how their use could improve the mission.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure the kit meets security and functional requirements.
    Collaborate with system engineers to identify and address defects, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure the kit complies with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices.
    Coordinate activities to conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate potential issues.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Communicate technical information and project status to stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and executives.
    Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring team members, providing guidance, and promoting knowledge sharing.
    Collect requirements from the customer and produce a working solution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software development, cybersecurity, or a related field, with a focus on defensive cyber operations.
  • 4 or more of the following areas:
    • Software development
    • Networking
    • Virtualization
    • Computer Forensics
    • Systems Engineering
    • Penetration Testing
    • Administrator-level knowledge of Linux (Red Hat is preferred) using the command line.
    • Programming languages: Python, C++, Java, etc.
    • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, etc.
    • CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • US Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with defensive cyber operations tools and technologies (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Stack).
  • Experience with defensive cyber operations tactics, techniques, and protocols.

This role has an internal job title of a Systems Engineer IV or V with a corresponding base salary range of $127k to $185k (aligned with current national standards) and set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
