Overview

E2 is hiring a Grant Writer with CPUC and GRC filing expereince. They will prepare and submit grants proposals to secure funding for utility projects. They will also be responsible for managing the Geberal Rate Case process, which involves analyzing utility costs and setting rates for the upcoming years. 

Responsibilities

Proposal Development: Crafting detailed grant proposals that align with CPUC funding priorities.

Research: Conducting thorough research to identify funding opportunities and requirements.

Collaboration: Working with various stakeholders, including utility companies, to gather necessary data and insights.

Budget Preparation: Developing accurate budgets that reflect project costs and funding needs.Reporting: Preparing progress reports and final reports to ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Cost Analysis: Analyzing utility costs and operational expenses to support rate-setting processes.

Documentation: Preparing and submitting comprehensive documentation for General Rate Cases.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and the public, to communicate the rationale behind proposed rates.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all filings meet CPUC regulations and guidelines.

Data Management: Maintaining accurate records and data to support filings and audits.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Grant Writing and GRC filing.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related filed.

  • Proven grant writing experience in Utilities preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills, with the ability to meet multiple conflicting deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with database applications like Raisers Edge and GrantHub.

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of regulatory processes.

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are preferred.

  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and risk management principles.

  • Experience with GRC tools (e.g., Archer, MetricStream) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

The salary for this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000.00. The starting pay rate will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
