Are you a junior DevSecOps engineer with less than 3 years of experience supporting software development tools and pipeline development? Our team is looking for a junior DevSecOps engineer that is in the early stages of their career and has basic experience in support of enterprise software development and delivery. This position supports delivering capabilities to the space community through the development and support of DevSecOps tooling, pipelines, and containerized deployments. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the space community as a member of Parsons’ Space Operations Directorate. You will work with software engineers and space analysts to create space situational awareness solutions for the space domain stakeholder community.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline with less than 3 years of technical experience; relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
- Ability to support and troubleshoot issues on common Operating Systems (e.g., MacOS, Windows, Linux)
- Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD) pipeline concepts and tools (e.g., Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, Fortify)
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills
- Understanding of deployment in Docker containers
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Go)
- Understanding of deploying and configuring software in AWS cloud environments
- Understanding of networking concepts (Firewall, WiFi and VPN setup)
- Security+ certification
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
