Junior IT Security Officer

Are you passionate about technology, security, and eager to learn? At Resurs, we’re looking for a Junior Information Security Officer to join our growing team and play a key role in keeping our business and customers safe.

In this role, your primary focus will be on Security Incident Response, where you’ll work closely with experienced colleagues to handle and resolve security incidents. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain valuable experience in real-world security scenarios and learn to respond quickly and effectively to incidents.

What you’ll do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the Security Incident Response Process, from identifying and analyzing incoming incidents to assisting in recovery, using modern, state-of-the-art tools to strengthen our response capabilities.
• Gaining hands-on experience in managing security incidents and learning how to handle real-world challenges.
• Collaborating with other teams, including DevOps, to ensure security measures are effectively implemented.
• Supporting awareness-building initiatives across the organization to strengthen our overall security culture.
• Over time, it may also become relevant to participate in an on-call or standby rotation to support critical incident handling, ensuring we are prepared to respond to security events around the clock.

While your focus will be on security incident response, you may also assist in other security related areas e.g. vulnerability management, threat management, risk management etc.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who is curious and eager to learn. While you don’t need extensive experience, we believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have a genuine interest in IT security and want to grow your expertise in the field.
• Are proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a passion for solving problems.
• Have basic knowledge of IT security concepts, either through education or work experience.
• Enjoy working in a team and collaborating with others to achieve shared goals.
• Are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• Holds Swedish citizenship.

Whether you’ve recently graduated from a relevant program, such as forensics or IT security, or have 1–2 years of experience in IT, what matters most is your enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to develop.
