SOFTWARE ENGINEER III - Full Stack

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in open source technologies like React, Node etc. and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.

About Team:

As part of US Omni Tech - Manufacturing & Fuel technology team, we build and implement industry defining products to drive differentiating experiences for the associates working in the plants working across the globe.

We are seeking an experienced full stack professional to join our team in Manufacturing/ Fuel . You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing complex business problems using open source technologies to support the business units in Manufacturing/Fuel.

What you'll do:

You will play the role of software engineer working on implementing solutions and support applications in manufacturing domain.

• Drive design, develop, implement, support, and document open source solutions in Manufacturing domain.

• Contribute to the team by applying your technical skills, to design, deploy enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of day-to-day business process.

• Coordinate with functional team and business to understand the requirement / problem and provide effective solution.

• Learn on the go and work on both new requests/projects as well as support production based on priority.

• Ability to quickly understand the business impact and severity through deep process knowledge.

• Demonstrate technical skills towards problem solving and providing quick fix. Mitigate impacts and perform RCA to avoid reoccurrence of issues by providing a long-term solution to the problem

• Contribute towards continuous improvement with periodic knowledge sharing with the application team.

• Contribute greatly to enhance the performance of existing products in the domain.

What you'll bring

• 3– 5 years of experience as a full-stack developer in design and development of highly scalable applications and platform development in product based companies or R&D divisions

• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns

• Having proficiency with these technologies like Java, React, Node, Javascript, HTML, , Microservices, Distributed Systems, Design & Architecture, Data structures & Algorithms.

• Experience in deploying solutions on any of these cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)

• Working knowledge of SQL/No-SQL and database technologies (MySQL, Mongo DB)

• Work exposure on Agile methodologies and DevOps would be added advantage

• Well versed with Testing frameworks like JUnit

• Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical & innovative solutions

• Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control

• Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
