Could you be the Network Security Engineer in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and cybersecurity expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity and efficiency of our network and telecommunications systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Network Design, System Engineering, Commissioning), enhance cybersecurity measures, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

• Collaborating closely with the Network Design team to integrate cybersecurity solutions into the network,

• Administering Active Directory, including user and group management and DNS management,

• Performing Network Security Engineering tasks in support of program objectives,

• Designing and managing security gateways for secure remote access,

• Managing antivirus solutions to ensure endpoint security across the organization,

• Ensuring delivery of documents as per project Documentation plan in line with project milestones,

• Participating in Installation, Test & Commissioning activities, as well as network maintenance activities,

• Administering and managing Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for timely updates and patches,

• Reviewing cybersecurity risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies

• Degree in Engineering or a related field,

• Knowledge of network security and access policies, cybersecurity principles, technologies, and solutions,

• Experience or understanding of designing, implementing, and operating secured networks,

• CISSP or CISM certification preferred,

• Familiarity with Firewalls and Active Directory for core networks and backhauls,

• Proven experience with monitoring tools, cybersecurity platforms,

• Understanding of the railway industry is a plus,

• Knowledge of virtualization concepts,

• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and to adapt in a multi-disciplinary environment
