Could you be the Network Security Engineer in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and cybersecurity expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity and efficiency of our network and telecommunications systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Network Design, System Engineering, Commissioning), enhance cybersecurity measures, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

Collaborating closely with the Network Design team to integrate cybersecurity solutions into the network,
-
Administering Active Directory, including user and group management and DNS management,
-
Performing Network Security Engineering tasks in support of program objectives,
-
Designing and managing security gateways for secure remote access,
-
Managing antivirus solutions to ensure endpoint security across the organization,
-
Ensuring delivery of documents as per project Documentation plan in line with project milestones,
-
Participating in Installation, Test & Commissioning activities, as well as network maintenance activities,
-
Administering and managing Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for timely updates and patches,
-
Reviewing cybersecurity risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies

Degree in Engineering or a related field,

Knowledge of network security and access policies, cybersecurity principles, technologies, and solutions,

Experience or understanding of designing, implementing, and operating secured networks,

CISSP or CISM certification preferred,
-
Familiarity with Firewalls and Active Directory for core networks and backhauls,
-
Proven experience with monitoring tools, cybersecurity platforms,
-
Understanding of the railway industry is a plus,
-
Knowledge of virtualization concepts,
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and to adapt in a multi-disciplinary environment
