The Information Security Operations Engineer will work with the various IT departments to design, build, and defend IT infrastructure systems in a secure and scalable manner. This includes researching and presenting advanced cyber threats to the organization using a method that is understandable to the given audience and working with others to create strategies to protect the infrastructure. These strategies include monitoring, protecting, and reporting of systems and networks on a regular basis.  Works under the supervision of the Information Security Operations Manager.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, on call as needed

Compensation: Pay range $95k-$110k depending on experience

Responsibilities

Primary Technical Skills

• Expertise in EDR/XDR, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and content filtering
• Expertise in PKI infrastructure best practices
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methodologies
• Expertise in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methodologies
• System administration, support multiple OS platforms and applications
• Knowledge of and experience with endpoint security solutions, including FIM and DLP
• Knowledge of and experience with automated security testing tools
• Strong analytical troubleshooting background

• CompTIA CASP+, Pentest+, CySA+ (recommended), Security+ (required) Certifications
• GISF, GSEC (required), GCIA, GCWN, GMON (recommended), GDSA, GCDA, GSOC (recommended), GCED Certifications
  • Specific vendor certifications are not required, comparable certifications may satisfy these requirements.

Education and/or Experience

• BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Three to five years’ experience in an information security function
