Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Junior Indistrial Security Specialist - Construction Oversight for our Las Vegas, NV office.
This position is a full-time, 32 hour per week schedule and is a benefits-eligible position. The required start time for this position is 5:00am and will range from 8-10 hours per day, providing construction supervision and monitoring construction personnel.
Upon completion of construction, this position fulfill tasks and responsibilities congruent of a Junior Insustrial Security Specialist.

Responsibilities
Initial responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:• Work under the direction of the Site Security Manager• Supplement designated site access controls• Implement and enforce established screening processes for construction personnel in a designated site• Implement and enforce established inspection procedures for construction materials entering the designated site• Monitor construction activities/personnel within/around designated sites as required by accrediting officials
• Physical ability to remain seated at a desk or remain standing on the concrete floor in a designated area for extended periods• Will be required to wear safety equipment (minimum hard hat and safety goggles) while in the construction area (designated site is enclosed but not climate controlled)• May be exposed to various construction noises for extended periods
Following the construction phase, responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
• Escort visitors within the facility• Maintain professional and welcoming reception area for the MTSI office• Greet guests and direct them to the appropriate employee or customer area• Answer phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate employees within the office• Manage office supplies to include proactively maintaining accurate levels of all supplies• Maintain visitor logs• Escort visitors within the facility• Process incoming / outgoing visit requests and review security clearance / access information using the Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS)• Assist with the in-processing and onboarding of new employees• Develop and implement procedures relating to personnel security processing, as well as access control procedures, visitor access certifications and badging• Ensure physical security facility guidance and oversight is maintained and inform FSO of any changes or issues• Conduct random internal physical security inspections, to include random searches on personnel coming in and out of the facility• Coordinate facility maintenance with building manager• Maintain company credit card and monthly invoice reconciliation• Perform end-of-day facility closing procedures• Other tasks as assigned
Secondary Duties:• Provide facility security administration, documentation and management support• Manage the annual inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with policies and procedures• Prepare and submit status reports to applicable government agencies• Administer and manage classified destruction program• Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and control all collateral classified documents / electronic media entering or leaving the facility• Maintain suspense copies of all material transported via courier / mail and perform follow-up actions, as needed• Apply the requirements for classifying, marking, handling, transporting, and safeguarding classified information• Assist with government inspections as required
Qualifications
Required Skills / Experience: • Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing direct administrative support. US Air Force (or other military) administrative experience is highly desired • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interface will all levels of staff, management, customers and guests• Be well organized, detail oriented, and possess strong multi-tasking and time management skills. This position will require a strong ability to work independently and be self-motivatedDesired Skills / Qualifications / Certifications:• 2 years of Secret Collateral personnel, physical, and information security duties preferred • Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS)• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)• Industrial Security Professional (ISP)• Prior Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) training in the fields of Industrial, Information, Personnel, and Physical Security Education Requirements:Associates degree. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Travel:Local travel approximately 10%
Clearance Requirements:Active Secret clearance required. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Top Secret clearance within 6 months of hire.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
