Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M&A Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cybersecurity aspects of acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring that security risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition and integration from a security standpoint.
Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the cybersecurity due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
· Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
· Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and ensure the security of digital assets during the M&A process.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, IT, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and compliance with security policies and standards.
· Monitor and assess the cybersecurity posture of acquired or divested entities and provide recommendations for improvement.
· Develop and maintain detailed documentation of cybersecurity assessments, findings, and remediation plans.
· Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to convey the impact of findings and the importance of mitigation strategies.
· Stay current with industry best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements related to M&A cybersecurity.
· Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams throughout the M&A process.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
· At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions or project management.
· Strong knowledge of cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
· Proficiency in conducting cybersecurity due diligence and risk assessments.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus.
