The Opportunity:


The Security Engineering Manager should feel comfortable not only setting expectations for the team but assisting with escalations and onsite tasks as they arise. We are looking for and experienced and dynamic Security Engineering Manager who shows initiative and demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills. The candidate will be self-directed, organized, and results driven.  In this role, the candidate will work as a mentor and teacher, working to identify skills gaps and working to fill them through training and performance improvement.


Responsibilities:


The Security Engineering Manager will:


• Lead and support the transition of DHS security tools to CACI from the incumbent vendor, ensuring alignment between tool portfolio and scrutiny team composition and skill set
• Define and implement effective lifecycle management of DHS’ existing and any new security tools, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with the security strategy and business objectives
• Document and map the architecture of current security infrastructure and develop the security engineering roadmap for future improvements.
• Develop and implement automation to streamline security tool management and functionality, leading to more efficient operations
• Conduct a security tools analysis to assess effectiveness, identify gaps, optimize resources, support future planning, performance benchmarking, and improving user experience.
• Coordinate and lead training initiatives to ensure proper use and management of security tools in the environment
• Stay current with emerging security technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements or additions.
• Serve as the team’s point of contact for security tool operation and management.


Qualifications:

Required: 

• Ability to attain DHS EOD
• ITIL V4 Foundations certification (or obtain in first 6 months)
• BA + 15 years of experience, AA + 17 years of experience, or 21 years of experience
• 5 or more years of experience in a technical people management role
• 8 or more years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT support
• Experience managing technicians with varying skill levels and supporting end users remotely
• Experience with Vulnerability analysis, red teaming/blue teaming/purple teaming
• Experience with one or more of the following: Cyber/NIST policy, RMF, mitigation development or implementation required.
• Professional, customer-oriented, and even-keeled under pressure
• Effective communicator at all levels, both written and verbal
• Experience with a subset of the following tools: ANSIBL, Tanium, CyberArk, CommVault, Cribl, CrowdStrike, Dynatrace, Garrison, GitLab, Grafana ,Mandiant Security Validation, Netbox, Proofpoint, ScienceLogic, Swimlane, Thales, Venafi, and Zscaler


Desired:

• Security +, CEH, GPEN, OSEP, etc.
• CISSP certification
• Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)
• Experience with Azure Cloud, scripting and Automation

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$109,800 - $241,600
