A bit about the job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cyber Operations to lead our cyber security efforts. This pivotal role will oversee our detection systems, Security Operations Centre (SOC), incident response, and the architecture, delivery, and management of our technical controls. As the Director of Cyber Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our digital assets, protecting against cyber threats, and responding effectively to security incidents. You will work with our Technology and broader business teams both to implement robust security measures, and to partner in ensuring their projects are successful. Additionally, you will be expected to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and trends and provide thought leadership across this domain. As a member of the Cyber Security leadership team you will be responsible for fostering cultures of customer focus, delivery, and collaboration across the team, and for ensuring Aviva continues to be a great place to work for our team.
Skills and experience we're looking for
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead, inspire, mentor, and develop a team of technical cyber security professionals.
Extensive and diverse experiences in building and running cyber security operations, including detection, incident response, and SOC management.
Proven track record in architecting, delivering, and managing technical controls which balance security, business operations, and user experience.
A natural curiosity with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate security risks effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proven track record of senior stakeholder partnering to deliver capabilities that span organisational boundaries.
A proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and trends.
